Instrumental Music
4th grade Band
This performing group is open to all 4th grade students. Students will learn basic music reading skills, coordination, and proper playing technique for all brass, percussion, and woodwind instruments.
Students will have the opportunity to play in their own very special Beginner Concert in the late spring.
Students will be provided with one weekly lesson, beginning in the fall. In addition, students will also receive one weekly before-school rehearsal, beginning in the spring.
5th grade Band
This performing group is open to all 5th grade students. Students will learn new and more advanced skills, technique, and music.
The 5th grade band will perform at the Winter and Spring concerts, as well as the Memorial Day Parade in Bethpage!
Students will be provided with one weekly lesson as well as one weekly before-school rehearsal.
Rehearsals are held on Friday mornings at 7:55am. Students are expected to show up at least 5 minutes early to set up.
